1830's....someone at some point modernized it. The walls should be lathe and plaster, but the punched put walls are drywall. They did a pretty good job of matching the new cabinets to the old.

The rot in houses is based on the quality of the ROOF! When I see this type aluminum panel roof, I know there will be little water damage. They are great roofs to have!

The wealth of the '20s like now before the fall. Created many Florida getaways.That basement "cold air return" angled chute was a coal chute to dump that room full of coal for the furnace. No gas, oil or electrical heating then.

That was probably getting outdoor furnace, to heat up water gets pumped into the house. I seen the registers in the house water register I’m guessing.

As a gold prospector in BC, I absolutely love these videos. Really need to make my way out to some of these old mining towns. The history is incredible.

The round shelves are really a platter system. The film is taken off the shipping reels and lays coiled on its side on the platter and then the platter slowly rotates. It is drawn out of the middle and sent along some guide rollers to the projector. After it it passes through the machine other guides send it back to the platter where it is wrapped around a removable ring on a different level. The nice thing about it is at the end of the show, the beginning of the film is all the way back to the inside of the coil where it started, so there is no rewinding. Since there are several levels of platters, the projectionist can have several different shows made up and choose between them. This can get pretty involved too. In a theater with multiple auditoriums served by the same booth, they can route film off a platter and through several projectors in sequence before they route it back to the platter. For a movie that's really in demand, they can use the same print for several showings at the same time this way. If you want to see this taken to an extreme check out "Interlocking 101 - 16 Screen Interlock" here on UA-cam. -sure it's simpler with digital projection: doing it this way was both a skill and an art!
